Health workers are motivated if the management offers favorable working conditions that promote good relationship between health workers and patients (Kapucu and Ozerdem, 2013, 16). A leader should possess skills from areas like economics, finance and public relations in order to supervise the junior staffs in all departments. The failure of this can result in misappropriation of funds, laxity in the offices and the creation of a bad reputation (Burke and Friedman. 2011, 20). Considering this, health care administrators must be able to understand and apply strategies acquired from other fields in order to make the reduce cha llenges, which might jeopardize operations. I also learnt that public health requires personal skills of leadership that are essential to the success of those organizations. This is because the essentials offer insights into the diverse aspect of management and links the leaders to the roles they play. Personal skills in the management of resources ensure that the daily chores are done according to the public requirements (Fink, 2013, 32-34). The relationship between the managers, workers and clients should be evident from the top management department. This promotes respect and understanding, which are crucial attributes of a healthcare leader (Kapucu and Ozerdem, 2013, 23). As a result, leadership in public health should help in protecting and promoting health and minimizing disease and disabilities. The efficient application of medical and leadership concepts must conform to the objectives and duties of the institutions.
